The 2012 Summer Movement Monastery, August 9--23, at Synergia Ranch, Santa Fe, New Mexico--nature, pure air, beauty--offers an extended time in a serene environment to deepen your practices with a community of like-minded people. Come... breathe, stretch, move, rest, dance, bellydance, chant and whirl without words, with beautiful music, with your eyes open or closed. Enjoy innovative approaches to movement, music, body-work techniques as well as magical impromtu performances. You'll experience the deep relaxation, abundant creativity, improved immune function, healing and inner peace you've been looking for. You'll take home renewed vigor and inspiration. Our retreat experience is fully supported. We have a professional chef preparing our simple, vegetarian food menu relieving us of all kitchen work. In addition, the Ranch does basic facility maintenance during our stay. We can turn our attention fully to our Dancemeditation practice. The first week is open to everyone. Because our work is cumulative and dynamic, the second week is open to those who have attended the first week.

This year we are splitting the costs of this retreat into three separate payments -- Tuition, Room, and Board. Here's what you do.

The lowest tuition rate sign up period will be from Feb 1 -15th for full retreat stay only at a spectacular $65 a day! (Does not include travel, room & board.) Available for two weeks, it is nonrefundable*. Please look at the steps just below and Sign up now!

Steps for Summer Movement Monastery Sign-up

  1. Pay tuition. Click Here.
  2. Contact our Retreat Manager, Liz Abbene, to reserve your room. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  3. To secure your room, send a check made out to 'Synergia Ranch' to: Elizabeth Abbene, 12978 Eastview Ct, Apple Valley MN 55124 (Scroll down for rates.)
  4. Arrange your travel. Earlier will be cheaper.
  5. Pay for Food. (This is a fixed rate, regardless of whether or not you plan to fast or skip any meals.) We'll send you a reminder and the link for you to pay this online.
  6. Air travelers, book Roadrunner to Synergia. (Roadrunner requires an advance reservation!)


About Your Tuition:

The payment for tuition, administered through Dervish Society of America, is tax-deductible. Please read carefully the cancellation policy restrictions printed on the sign up page.*
Tuition Rate Schedule (Does not include travel, room & board.):
Feb 1 -15: $910 ($65 per day!!!) Sign-up
Feb 15th - March 15th: $75 a day (Two week, one week, and weekend options.)
March 15th on: regular rates apply. (From $85 a day.)


About Housing:

You room is not secured until Liz receives your check. We have a limited number of Primo and Private rooms, so arrange this right away. ALL room reservations are on a first come/first serve availability basis. If you have a roommate request, they too, must have their tuition paid for in order to secure the room reservation.

Synergia room rates
Primo Private (queen bed, private bathroom)                           $60 per person per day
Private (queen bed, shared bathroom)                                     $35 per person per day
Shared Room (shared bathroom, double rooms & dorm)        $25 per person per day

Room cost for Full Retreat:
Primo Room    $60 x 15 = $900
Private Room    $35  x 15 = $525
Shared Room    $25  x 15 = $375


About Food:
By July 1st you'll make your online payment for food. We will send you reminders and the link. This is a fixed rate, calculated @$30 per day plus water @$1 per day, regardless of whether or not you plan to fast or skip any meals.

To help us all have the best possible retreat experience, we ask that you be present at the beginning of you first session and stay through the end of your final session. Those in Teacher Training are required to attend the full two weeks, arriving at the beginning and staying through the end session.

*Cancellation and tax-deduction:
Your tuition payment is to DSA. In the event that you are unable to attend and have paid nonrefundable tuition, you can still use your payment as a tax deduction. Would you be interested in dedicating your payment? It can be used as scholarship (we will choose the recipient) or towards the Ravenrock Dancemeditation Sanctuary building fund. Please let us know.
