Laurienne Singer, Certified Dancemeditation™ Teacher, received her M.A. at UCLA in dance with a major in Choreography and a minor in Dance Therapy, and her B.A. in Dance at UCLA with a minor in Theater and Puppetry. She was a member of the UCLA Puppet Theater and also had the opportunity to dance for Jean Erdman and taught at her studio. She trained with many of the pioneers of Modern Dance and Dance Therapy. She was a recipient of an Intergenerational Grant and co-recipient of a Rockefeller Grant on Light and Motion with an Optical Engineer named John Forkner.

She has been on the staff of the Dance Dept at Los Angeles City College for 15 years. In that time she has introduced a class called Stress Management Techniques through Movement and Dance that incorporates the principles of Dancemeditation in the work. She has a class in Healing Motion for Women that meet every week at the SUBUD house in Los Angeles. Ms. Singer has maintained a private practice and is available for private or class sessions in Dance Therapy and Dancemeditation. At the present time she has a Choreographic workshop for dancers to explore and expand their visions and is available for consultations.
